RedMAX WiMAX Family

Redline’s RedMAX ™ system is the world’s first WiMAX Forum Certified™ solution to deliver the elements operators need to enable the profitable delivery of revenue-generating fixed and nomadic wireless broadband services.

RedMAX™ 4C Mobile WiMAX Platform

The RedMAX 4C is Redine’s latest addition to its RedMAX family of WiMAX products, which includes the world’s first complete WiMAX Forum Certified™ system.

Designed in compliance to the IEEE 802.16e-2005 standards for mobile WiMAX and for operation in both the 2.5 GHz and 3.5 GHz bands, the RedMAX 4C will enable carriers to deliver a wide range of fixed, portable and mobile wireless services. As with each of Redline’s RedMAX products, the RedMAX 4C will support Voice and Video over IP, broadband Internet access including highly valued education, medical, transportation and municipal communications, VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) and other advanced broadband services.

Redline’s new WiMAX offering is also designed to facilitate the integration of its existing RedMAX products with its RedMAX 4C technologies, providing operators a path to deploy WiMAX today, introduce 802.16e as required and evolve to technologies that incorporate 802.16m which is the WiMAX industry standard for true mobility.

The RedMAX 4C Mobile WiMAX product family will include the RedMAX 4C base station (SCS1000), indoor and outdoor subscriber units and PCMCIA cards.

RedMAX™ AN-100U

Redline's RedMAX AN-100U is the world's first WiMAX Forum Certified™ base station. Easy and cost-effective to deploy, the RedMAX AN-100U facilitates the rapid provision of new fixed and nomadic wireless broadband services by service providers , while its very low latency ensures reliable delivery of time-sensitive services, including circuit-switched voice traffic, voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP), video and prioritized data traffic. The AN-100U design architecture enables 'over-the-air' upgrades in the field through simplified software downloads and the ability to dynamically “on-the-fly” customize individual Quality of Service (QoS) settings, according to the service level agreement (SLA).

The hardware is fully upgradeable in the field by software download, to accommodate such future enhancements for scalability, extended packet classifiers, alternative encryption standards, and the continued development of the 802.16 standard. Adherence to stringent carrier-class NEBS Level 3 specifications provides high reliability for mission critical deployments. The indoor unit has a selection of radios for operation in the licensed and unlicensed bands using the 802.16-2004 specified 3.5 MHz and 7 MHz channel profiles.
